Hi, Spring fans! Welcome to another rip-roarin' and exciting installment of This Week in Spring! We've got a ton of cool stuff to look at this week, so let's dive right into it!

• an important update on Spring's release practice
• Speaking of which, we had a slew of releases on the 24th, including Spring Boot 4.2.0 M2. This release brings with it SSL bundle support for LDAP, including LDAPS support for the embedded LDAP server, support for OpenTelemetry's semantic conventions, along with common OTLP endpoint, header, and compression configuration, and so much more.
• Spring AI 2.1.0 M1 is available now
• Spring Data 2026.1.0-M2 is released
• Spring Integration 7.2.0 M2 released
• Spring AMQP 4.2.0 M2
• Spring Web Services 5.1.0 M1 available now
• Spring Security 7.2.0-M2 available now

• In last week's installment, we had Michael Carducci on a Bootiful Podcast to talk about optimizing data for agentic workflows
• I loved this talk from Moritz Halbritter on upgrading Spring Boot 4 (and the internal work behind it) from this year's Spring IO
