Hi, Spring fans! Welcome to another installment of This Week in Spring! As I write this, I'm in sunny Stockholm, Sweden for the JForum #123 installment. This is, apparently, the first time the meetup is completely full up since before the pandemic, with more than 150 people in attendance! Tak, Stockholm!

Then, tomorrow, I'm off to beautiful Barcelona, Spain, for the amazing Spring I/O event. I'll be doing part of the keynote with Spring AI founder Dr. Mark Pollack; I'll be looking at Spring's rich integration with AOT and GraalVM with GraalVM founder Thomas Wuerthinger; and I'll be doing - with the legendary Spring cofounders Dr. Rod Johnson and Juergen Hoeller - a talk contextualizing the advances in today's Spring with the foundations put in place decaces ago! It's going to be a blast and I can't wait for y'all to see the resulting videos!

On this most auspicious of days, we saw the long awaited and long heralded release of Spring AI 1.0! This has been a huge, multi-year long effort, and I for one am just super happy to see it out there! I'm dedicating this roundup to Spring AI! Enjoy!

• First, the release itself! Start here! There's a ton to admire in the Spring AI release, but remember it's a framework for AI engineering integrating over 20 different models and vector stores.

• I did a video looking at how to use Spring AI, and how to marry it with a powerful cloud platform like CloudFoundry, which - when deployed correctly - can provide infrastructure like the AI Server to dramatically improve your deployment options.

• InfoQ covered its debut in a news post today, and told us to be on the lookout for an article!
